We were delighted to recently receive a visit by the Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, Fergus Ewing. The Minister heard of our recent success at the UK Space Conference in Warwick, in obtaining the Sir Arthur C Clarke award for achievement in space commerce and, as a result, requested a visit to see some of the interesting work we are doing at Clyde Space. Clyde Space COO, Andrew Strain, gave a tour of Clyde Space and discussed our development activities in advanced CubeSat attitude control systems and our CubeSat platform development, focusing on the design of the UKube-1 mission currently being produced for the UK Space Agency.
The picture below shows Andrew chatting with the Minister as Senior Engineer, Dr Kevin Worrall, explains what an attitude control system is used for on a spacecraft.
